Wellville

A group project in which we were tasked with making a film that followed a theme and a filter. Our theme was 'cereal' and our filter was 'The X Factor'.

We went straight into research about cereal and found that Dr Kellogg, who invented cornflakes, ran a sanitarium called Wellville. As cornflakes were originally intended to be an anaphrodisiac, we wanted to create something based around this.  

 

Our final outcome was a film documenting the process of going through withdrawal symptoms while being a patient at Kellogg's Sanitarium, Wellville.

With use of milk-bottle colours, along with garish filters, we wanted it to feel uncomfortable and progressively more intense as the film goes on - much like the stages of an X Factor series.
